Core Values Overview:

* A Southern Baptist heritage rooted in the traditions and theology of the Reformation

* Confessional, adhering to the 1689 London Baptist Confession

* Commitment to proper, covenantal, regenerate church membership and Biblical community

             Regenerate Church Membership (Eph 4:11-12; 2 Cor 13:5, 6:14-18, 7:14-18; 1 Cor. 12:12-31, 5:9-13; Jos. 22:1-5; Gal. 6:1-10; Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Th. 3:9-12, 5:6-22; Jm. 5:9-16; 1 Pt. 4:8-11, 5:5-11; 1 Jn 1:7-11, 3:1- 4:3 ; Heb. 13:17; Acts 2:37-42)

Biblical Community - The Church is a community of believers, and we must do more than occupy pews to call ourselves a church (Matt 18:15-18; Rom 12:3-18; Acts 2:41-47; 4:32-35; 6:1-7; Heb 13:17)

* Leadership – Biblically qualified leadership and officers; i.e., a plurality and parity of elders (pastors) as overseers, and deacons as servant-leaders

             Biblically Qualified Leadership (1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:15-16; Eph 4:11-16; Acts 6:2-4; 1 Pet 5:1-5; Acts 14:23; Titus 1:5; 2 Cor. 1:24; Heb. 13:7; Eph. 5:22-33; Acts 15:1-2)

* Strong emphasis on family discipleship and integration within the church

Family Discipleship - God has given the family as the primary discipling agent. Children are entrusted to parents for their spiritual nurture (Gen 12:8; Deut 6:4-9; Ps 78:5-8; Ps 113:3; Eph 6:1-4; 2 Tim. 3:14-15)

* Expositional in teaching and preaching

             All Scripture is profitable (2 Thess 3:14; 2 Tim 3:14-17; 1 Tim 4:13; Col 4:16; Rev 1:3; Acts 13:15, 20:27; Ezra 7:10; Neh 8:18; Mt 5:18-19)

* Adherence to the sufficiency of Scripture for every area of life

The Sufficiency of Scripture - The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (Deut 4:2; 12:32; Prov 30:6; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Heb 1:1-2; 2 Pet 1:20-21; Rev 22:19)

* Teaching and practicing a Biblical worldview

Biblical Worldview - Christianity is not merely a religion, it is also a lifestyle, a philosophy; a worldview.  We are to think biblically about every aspect of our lives (Rom 12:1-2; 2 Cor 10:5-6; Col 2:8; 1 Pet 1:14-16).

* Believing that the parents are the primary instructors of children

Christian Education -Who has their time? What has their attention? Where is their affection? Who has their heart? Who’s their role model? Who’s shaping their worldview? (Ps 1; Prov1:7-9; 2:1-7; 3:1-7; Deut 6:4-9; Lk 6:40; Rom 12:1-2; 2 Cor 10:3-5; Col 2:8-10; Eph 6:1-4; Titus 2:1-12 )
